Why did we not include 64 bit Windows 7 Pro in the minimum requirements?

We thought best to draw some sort of line in the sand -- and the line includes thoughts like:

  • Technical: we know that there are newer technologies from Microsoft available in more recent version of Windows that we may want to look at.
  • Microsoft Support: we thought it best to try to get as close to possible to latest by trying to eliminate no-longer available technologies. Win 7 and 8 are:
    • No longer sold
    • Near end of life
    • Have minimal Microsoft support and, even then, only for security flaws, not for broken functionality. Microsoft's current stance for any windows7 issue is the fix is to update to windows 10

You won't see Arts Management leave you stuck. Win 7 should work; yet, we do not 100% guarantee it . Some windows machines with old operating systems do get cranky with the amount of bloatware and add ons that break the operating systems reliability.
